Master Luca Campiglio
Master Luca Campiglio – Biography
Luca Campiglio began his martial arts journey at the age of 14 in 1985, dedicating nine years to the practice of Karate and Kung Fu. Although he developed a strong martial arts foundation, he realized that these disciplines did not fully meet his goal of finding a system truly focused on practical self-defense.
In 1994, at the age of 23, he started training in Wing Chun, studying different lineages for four years. Through his experience and comparisons with other martial arts systems, he continued searching for an approach that better reflected his vision of martial arts.
In 1997, he began training in the system of Grandmaster William Cheung under the guidance of Master G. L. Boccato. For 17 years, until 2013, he devoted himself to the study of Traditional Wing Chun, attending numerous seminars and workshops conducted directly by Grandmaster Cheung.
Since 2013, he has continued his training directly under Grandmaster William Cheung, whom he represents in Europe through the CTD Wing Chun Academy, where he teaches and conducts regular training courses open to practitioners of all levels.
In 2019, he was personally appointed by Grandmaster William Cheung as the European Representative, a recognition of his dedication to the promotion and preservation of Traditional Wing Chun.
Committed to continuous technical and professional development, he organizes annual seminars and workshops at his school, hosting highly qualified masters and instructors from various martial arts backgrounds. At the same time, he regularly updates and refines his skills by training with internationally renowned masters from around the world.
As of 2026, he has accumulated 32 years of Wing Chun experience and 28 years of teaching experience, achieved through a lifelong commitment to study, practice, and student development. His work is dedicated to the authentic transmission of Traditional Wing Chun according to the teachings of Grandmaster William Cheung, contributing to the growth of the art throughout Europe while promoting continuous learning, open exchange, and technical excellence.
